Red Kidney Beans (swedish Method) Recipe

Instructions

  1. Put 1 quart of beans into cold water; add 1 teaspoon salt and cook until tender.
  2. Then add 2 tablespoons of syrup, and thicken with 1 tablespoon of potato flour, and corn starch diluted in water.
  3. Stir over the fire until the liquid is of a creamy consistency, and serve.
  4. These are also palatable when cold.
