Ingredients for Recipe for Macaroni and Cheese Casserole Recipe
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 5 tbsp. flour
- 3 1/2 cups milk, divided
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/2 lb. macaroni, cooked
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Heat the beef, onion, and seasonings together until brown.
- In a saucepan, heat the butter, flour, 2 1/2 cups of milk, and cheddar to make a sauce.
- Place half of macaroni in a casserole dish.
- Spoon on the beef mixture.
- Add the remaining pasta to cover the beef.
- Beat the remaining milk with the eggs and pour over the pasta.
- Pour cheese sauce over casserole and top with Parmesan.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
- Bake for one hour.
