Ingredients for Raspberry Jam Recipe

  • 1 pound raspberries
  • 3/4 pound crushed loaf sugar

Instructions

  1. Layer the fruit and sugar on a dish or deep bowl.
  2. Let it sit for four hours. Then turn it into a preserving pan and bring it to a boiling point quickly, stirring almost continuously to prevent from burning.
  3. Remove the scum as it rises or the jam will not be clear.
  4. Let it boil gently for 45 minutes, after it boils evenly all over.
  5. Turn into jars. When cold, cover and store it in a dry place.
