Raisin Batter Pudding Recipe

Instructions

  1. Beat up 3 eggs, sift in 2 cups flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt, add 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening, 1 cup cream, and beat for 8 minutes; then add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon orange extract.
  2. Pour into a vegetable shorteninged casserole, sprinkle over 8 tablespoons sultana raisins, and bake in moderate oven 1 hour.
  3. Serve with maple syrup.
