Quick Puff Paste Recipe

Ingredients for Quick Puff Paste

• 1 cup bread flour
• 1 tablespoon shortening
• Cold water
• 7/8 cup butter

Instructions

1. Work shortening into flour, first using knife then tips of fingers.
2. Moisten to a dough with cold water, pat, and roll out same as Puff Paste.
3. Dot paste with small pieces of butter, using one-third the quantity.
4. Dredge with flour, fold from ends toward centre, then double, making four layers.
5. Pat, and roll out.
6. Repeat until butter is used.
7. Roll, shape, chill, and bake in a hot oven.
