Ingredients for Quick Parker House Rolls Recipe
- 2½ cups bread flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/3 cup lukewarm water
- ½ cup milk

Instructions
- Sift together the bread flour, sugar, and salt.
- Work in shortening.
- Dissolve yeast cake in lukewarm water and milk. Add to flour mixture.
- Beat mixture well and let rise.
- Turn out on floured board and roll to 1/3 inch thick.
- Shape in long ovals and dip lower half in melted butter. Fold over, buttered side up, and place in pans close together.
- Let rise again and bake for 10 minutes at 425 degrees F.
- Bake for another 10 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- Brush with melted butter before serving.
