Ingredients for Pumpkin Waffles Recipe
- 1 cup of mashed and seasoned pumpkin, carefully drained
- 1 well-beaten egg
- 1 cup of warm cream
- 1/2 yeast cake dissolved in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- 4 cups of sifted flour
- 1/4 cup sweet milk
- Pinch of powdered mace
- Pinch of ground ginger
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pulverized sugar

Instructions
- Mix pumpkin, egg, warm cream, yeast cake, melted butter, and flour.
- Add sweet milk to thin it to a thick batter.
- Allow it to rise until light, then beat down.
- Add a pinch of powdered mace and ground ginger and let it rise again for twenty minutes.
- Bake in heated waffle irons to a golden brown.
- Dip the hot waffles in melted butter and roll in equal parts of cinnamon and pulverized sugar.
