Ingredients for Prune And Date Bread Recipe
- ½ cup prunes, stoned and soaked
- ½ cup dates, chopped
- 2½ cups flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon shortening, melted
Instructions
- Mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- Add milk and beat well.
- Add melted shortening and fruits.
- Put into greased bread pan.
- Allow to stand for about 20 minutes.
- Bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes.
