Ingredients for Princess Soup Recipe
- 1 cup sorrel
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or other vegetable oil)
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
- 1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 pint hot water
- 1 quart white stock
- Nutmeg
- Red pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cream

Instructions
- Chop the sorrel very fine and cook in olive oil.
- Add sugar, tarragon, white wine vinegar, salt, and flour. When boiling, add 1 pint hot water.
- Cook for 1/2 hour, then add white stock, a grating of nutmeg, and a dash of red pepper.
- Bring to a boil and add beaten yolk of 1 egg.
- Cream and serve.
