Ingredients for Potato (sweet) And Clam Soup Recipe

  • 24 clams, washed
  • 4 sweet potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, peeled, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Put clams, water, and onion in a kettle.
  2. Cover and simmer until the clams are open.
  3. At the same time, boil the milk and add the potatoes, seasonings, and butter.
  4. Strain the clam juice through a fine cheese cloth.
  5. Remove clams from their shells and chop them.
  6. Add clams and clam juice to the potatoes and milk.
  7. Continue to cook for about 20 minutes.
