Ingredients for Plain Icing

• 1 egg white, unbeaten
• 1½ cups confectioner's sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Put white of egg andvanilla in a bowl.
2. Add sugar gradually, in small quantities at a time.
3. Beat until smooth and brilliant, or until thick enough to spread on cake.
