Instructions
- Sift together one quart of flour, one teaspoon of salt, three teaspoons of baking powder, add two-thirds of a cup of butter, work it lightly through, and wet it with cold milk as soft as can be handled.
- Boll it, spread with melted butter, and bake to a light, golden brown.
- Lift off the top layer, spread it with butter and put the pineapple between the two layers and on top.
- Whip a pint of rich cream with a tablespoon of powdered sugar and heap it over the top.
