Ingredients for Pineapple Pudding Recipe 1

  • For Pudding
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons melted vegetable shortening
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 eggs
  • Hard sauce
  • For Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable shortening
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 4 tablespoons blanched and chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. For pudding.
  2. Beat eggs, add crumbs, salt, vegetable shortening, sugar, and pineapple cut into small dice.
  3. Turn into vegetable shorteninged pudding dish and bake in moderate oven until firm.
  4. Serve hot or cold with sauce.
  5. For sauce.
  6. Beat vegetable shortening with sugar to a cream, add salt, sherry, and almonds.
