Ingredients for Pie Crust

  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1¼ cups flour
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Cold water to moisten

Instructions

  1. Sift flour and salt and add sugar.
  2. Work quickly with the tips of the fingers the shortening into the mixture.
  3. Use enough cold water to make the particles of the mixture adhere together.
  4. Turn on floured pastry board and roll, handling as little as possible.
