Ingredients for Pie Crust--no. 2

  • (A little less tender, but good)
  • 2 cups sifted pastry flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • ¼ cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Put the flour into a mixing bowl; mix the salt with it; turn the oil in all at once, and stir with a spoon till the oil and flour are about half mixed, not till a dough is formed.
  2. Then pour in the water, all at once, and stir till the dough is just stuck together.
  3. Much mixing makes the pie crust tough.
  4. Then proceed according to directions for rolling out the crust.
