Peach Delights Recipe

Ingredients for Peach Delights

• 1 quart flour
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• ½ cup vegetable shortening
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Milk
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon lemon extract Peaches, fresh or canned Whipped cream

Instructions

1. Sift flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder together, then rub vegetable shortening lightly into them with finger tips; add lemon extract and enough milk to make soft dough.
2. Drop mixture into vegetable shorteninged gem pans; place 1/2 peach on each one; fill cavities with sugar and bake in hot oven twenty-five minutes.
3. Serve with whipped and sweetened cream.
4. Sufficient for twenty delights.
