Ingredients for Pea (dried) And Boston Bean Soup Recipe

  • 2 cups dried peas (soaked 6 hours)
  • 2 cups Boston beans (soaked 10 hours)
  • 1 onion, peeled, chopped
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Seasonings to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil slowly together the water, dry peas, Boston beans, onion, and seasonings for about 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Add the butter, then serve.
  3. If too thick, add more water and bring to a boil before serving.
