Oysters In Shell Recipe

Instructions
- Select fine, fat oysters in the shell.
- Wash the shells carefully and open; when opening, see that none of the oyster liquid is lost, as it is needed for moisture
- On each oyster half shell put a small bit of butter, a small grating of leeks, a little finely grated parsley, a sprinkle of dry cracker crumbs and a suspicion of salt and pepper.
- Make the covering very thin; bake stuffed shell halves on a flat pan in the oven for ten minutes, or until the shell takes a slight tinge of brown.
- Serve very hot with breadsticks.
