Oyster Stew Recipe 1

• 1 pint oysters
• 4 tablespoons butter
• Salt, pepper, paprika
• 1 quart rich milk

1. Put cleaned oysters, strained oyster liquor, butter, and seasoning into a saucepan and simmer gently until oysters curl at the edges.
2. Add the milk and bring quickly to the simmering point.
3. Serve very hot.
