Ingredients for Orange Cake, No. 1 Recipe 2

• 2 cups sugar
• ½ cup butter
• 2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 5 egg yolks
• 4 egg whites
• Grated rind of 1 orange
• ½ cup orange juice

Instructions

1. No. 1 Recipe 2, Filling and Frosting: White of 1 egg beaten stiff, add alternately powdered sugar and orange juice until the juice of 1 large orange and 1/2 lemon has been used.
2. It will take from 1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar.
