Ingredients for Onion And Eggs Recipe
- 1 large Spanish onion
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons hot butter
- 2 large lemons
- 4 poached eggs
Instructions
- Wash and peel the onion.
- Cut it into slices about a 1/4 inch thick. Strew a little salt and pepper over these and fry them in hot butter until they are tender, without being browned.
- Drain from the fat and place on a hot dish.
- Squeeze the juice of 2 large fresh lemons over top.
- Place poached eggs on onions and serve immediately.
