Instructions

1. This is a Spanish national dish, consisting of several kinds of meat cut into small pieces and stewed with a variety of vegetables.
2. It is much in favor with the poor, and is often kept so long that its odor and flavor both become highly offensive, hence its name--olla podrida, signifying putrid mess.
