Ingredients for Oatmeal Macaroons Recipe 2
  • 1 egg, beaten light
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla
  • ½ tablespoon melted butter
  • 1¼ cups of rolled oats

Instructions
  1. Beat the sugar into the egg; add the other ingredients and beat all together thoroughly.
  2. Drop from a teaspoon onto a buttered baking sheet and shape in symmetrical rounds.
  3. Bake in a moderate oven.
  4. The recipe makes about eighteen small cakes.
