- ¼ cup shortening, melted
- 1 egg
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups ground rolled oats
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup white flour
- 1 cup raisins
Instructions
- Mix the flour together with the oats, salt, baking powder, shortening, and milk.
- Add the slightly beaten egg, then the syrup.
- Add the raisins.
- Place in greased bread pan and bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
