Nut Pudding Recipe 2

Ingredients for Nut Pudding

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of sweet milk
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 1 good pint of sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking-powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1½ cups of nuts dredged in flour

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs very light; add sugar, milk, melted butter, flour and baking-powder, salt.
  2. Beat hard until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Then add nuts.
  4. Let pudding steam three hours.
  5. Golden Sauce (for the Pudding).--Cream 1 heaping teaspoon of butter; add gradually 1 cup of sugar, yolks of 3 eggs, 3 tablespoons of milk.
  6. Then add the whites of the eggs, beaten as stiff as possible.
  7. Do not mix in the whites, but fold in lightly, and beat lightly.
  8. Favor with vanilla.
  9. This should be made just before the pudding is served.
