Ingredients for Nougat Recipe 1

• 4 cups granulated sugar
• 3 egg whites
• ½ cup corn syrup syrup (white)
• ½ lb. almonds
• 1 teaspoon Webb's vanilla
• 1 teaspoon Webb's lemon

Instructions

1. Put sugar, water and syrup in saucepan and cook on low heat.
2. Meanwhile, beat eggs whites.
3. When syrup cooks until a soft ball in cold water, slowly begin beating in eggs, a little at a time; beat until thick.
4. Add almonds and pile on buttered serving dish. Any nuts may be used; hickory nuts are good choice.
