Ingredients for Normandy Pudding Recipe

  • 6 ounces bread crumbs
  • 6 ounces sugar
  • 6 small sour cooking apples, peeled and cored
  • 1 saltspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Chop the apples lightly.
  2. Place the apples and dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir well.
  3. When thoroughly mixed, add the lemon juice and 1/2 of the rind, finely grated.
  4. Add a little brandy or rum, if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into a well-greased mold and cover with a greased cloth or paper. Steam for about three hours.
