Ingredients for New England Raisin Pudding
- 1½ cups raisins, cleaned
- 1 cup water, boiling
- 2½ cups milk, boiled
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- A little grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Put water and raisins in a saucepan and boil quickly until water is cooked away.
- Beat eggs and sugar together.
- Add slowly boiled milk, nutmeg and raisins.
- Pour into a pudding dish.
- Set pudding dish in a pan containing boiling water, and bake in a moderate oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
