Mock Angel Cake Recipe

Ingredients for Mock Angel Cake

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup flour
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 cup milk
• 2 egg whites

Instructions

1. Put dry ingredients into a bowl, mixing and sifting well.
2. Scald the milk in a double boiler.
3. Stir quickly into the dry ingredients, and take care to have no lumps.
4. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the batter.
5. Bake in a loaf pan in a moderate oven (350 degrees f.) for forty-five minutes.
