Maple Cookies Recipe

Ingredients for Maple Cookies

• 1 egg
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons vegetable shortening
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3 tablespoons hot water
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Flour
• Maple sugar

Instructions

1. Ream vegetable shortening and sugar together, add egg well beaten, mix well, add cream, salt, soda dissolved in water, and sufficient flour to make of right consistency to drop from spoon.
2. Grate some maple sugar on each cookie and bake in moderate oven eight minutes.
3. Sufficient for forty cookies.
