Macaroon Pudding Recipe

Instructions

  1. Soak 6 macaroons in 1/2 cup milk.
  2. Heat 2 cups milk in double boiler, add 2 tablespoons cornstarch moistened with 1 well beaten egg, 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and macaroons.
  3. Cook for 20 minutes, remove from fire, add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  4. Turn into vegetable shorteninged and sugared pudding dish, sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar on top, and cover with sliced peaches.
  5. Serve cold.
