Ingredients for Macaroni With Tomato Sauce

  • ¾ cup macaroni
  • 2 qts. boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1½ cup tomato juice
  • 1 slice onion
  • 2 slices green pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni in the boiling salted water for twenty minutes, drain and blanch.
  2. Brown the butter, add the flour and seasoning.
  3. Cook the tomato juice with slice of onion and green pepper, strain into cooked butter and flour slowly.
  4. Cook until smooth and thick and pour over the macaroni.
