Ingredients for Mac and Cheese Recipe
- 16 ounces macaroni
- 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 ounces evaporated milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a rapid boil.
- Add macaroni and boil for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Drain pasta and layer half in a large casserole dish.
- Top with 1/2 of cheese, evenly distributed over macaroni.
- Add drops of butter and repeat layers.
- Pour milk over the final layer of cheese.
- Bake for one hour.
