Ingredients for Lunch Cakes Recipe
- 1 scant cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cream vegetable shortening and sugar together, then add well beaten eggs.
- Sift dry ingredients, and add to first mixture alternately with milk.
- Divide into vegetable shorteninged and floured gem pans and bake in moderately hot oven fifteen minutes.
- Sufficient for fifteen cakes.
