Ingredients for Little Brown Cakes Recipe

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream the shortening and add the sugar, beaten eggs and milk.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, clove and cinnamon.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Bake in fancy cake molds in moderate oven for about 20 minutes.
