Layer Cake Recipe 1

Ingredients for Layer Cake

• 3 cups flour
• ¾ cup shortening
• 1¼ cups sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup milk
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually.
2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla extract, then the milk.
3. Mix thoroughly.
4. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
5. Add to first mixture.
6. Bake in two or three greased layer cake tins in moderate oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
