Ingredients for Karo Pie Recipe

  • 2 cups corn syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla
  • Few grains salt
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • Flaky pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Line a pie plate with the crust.
  2. Beat the egg yolks, add the corn syrup, cornstarch and vanilla mixed thoroughly.
  3. Fold in the egg whites beaten stiff and pour into the pastry lined plate.
  4. Put crisscross strips of the pie crust over the top and bake 25-30 in a hot oven, 375 degrees F.
