Ingredients for Italian Sorbet Recipe

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1½ cups orange juice
  • 1½ cups grape fruit juice
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup wine

Instructions

  1. Make a syrup by boiling water and sugar fifteen minutes; add orange, grape, and lemon juice; cool, strain, add wine, and freeze to a mush, using equal parts ice and salt.
  2. If fresh fruit is used, more sugar will be required.
