  5. Use the white hearts of lettuce, making the leaves into little nests on a blue platter or shallow bowl.
  6. Into each nest put a small round tomato, scalded and peeled, and then chilled.
  7. Garnish the edge with round red radishes, with the peeling cut into points and turned back to show the white.
  8. Pour over it a French dressing.
