Ingredients for Ice Fruit Soup Recipe

  • 1 cup syrup from canned pineapple
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot or cornstarch mixed with 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup grapefruit juice

Instructions

  1. Place pineapple syrup in pan and add cloves and cinnamon; bring to boiling point.
  2. Add arrowroot or cornstarch-water mixture
  3. Stir and cook 3 minutes. Add sugar, salt, orange juice, and grapefruit juice.
  4. Strain into a refrigerator-safe pan, cool, then put in chilling unit and chill 1-1/2 to 2 hours, stirring once or twice.
