Ingredients for Health Muffins Recipe

  • 4 cups bran
  • 1 cup rolled oats put through food chopper
  • 1 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons Argo or Kingsfords Cornstarch
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup raisins put through food chopper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients as listed.
  2. Beat well, transfer to muffin pans oiled with corn oil, and bake 25-30 minutes in a moderate oven, 350 to 375 degrees F.
  3. This will make eighteen medium sized muffins.
  4. They will keep several days, and may be served split, toasted and buttered.
