Grilled Tomatoes Recipe 2

Instructions

  1. Use the dark red solid-meated tomatoes for grilling.
  2. They should be firm and well ripened.
  3. Without peeling, cut a thin slice from the blossom and the stem end, then cut in two once across.
  4. Put them in a fine wire broiler and broil over a hot fire, giving from three to eight minutes to each side.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, and serve with small steaks, or on hot rounds of buttered toast with cream sauce.
