Ingredients for Green Or Canned Corn Griddle Cakes Recipe 1

  • 1 cup of corn pulp
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten light
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ cup of sifted flour
  • 1/3 cup of sweet milk
  • 1 level teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
  2. Drop from a spoon in small cakes upon a hot, well-oiled griddle.
  3. When the cakes are filled with bubbles and brown on one side, they should be turned.
  4. For use with chicken add one-fourth a teaspoon of black pepper and a slice of green or red pepper, chopped fine.
