Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients for Green Bean Casserole Recipe
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup round crackers, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt butter in a saucepan and add the onions. Sautee the onions until soft.
- Add the flour and additional butter if needed. Cook for one minute, stirring the onion until smooth.
- Add the seasonings and sour cream and stir.
- Place the beans in the pan and coat with the mixture.
- Transfer all the ingredients to a casserole or baking dish. Top with the cheese.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the smashed crackers with the butter and put this over the cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
