Ingredients for Grapefruit Gelatine

  • ½ cup grapefruit Juice
  • 1¼ cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ ounce vegetable gelatin
  • 1 cup water in which to dissolve the gelatin

Instructions

  1. While the gelatin is receiving its preliminary preparation of soaking and draining, mix together the grapefruit juice, water, sugar, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Use a lemon drill to obtain the grapefruit juice.
  3. Both the grapefruit juice and the lemon juice should be strained before using.
  4. After draining the last time, boil the gelatin in the one cup of water till dissolved, then strain it into the remaining ingredients.
  5. Mix well, and pour into a mold or cups wet with cold water.
  6. When cold, unmold, and serve with cream, whipped cream, vanilla sauce, or lemon custard sauce.
