Ingredients for Grandmas Danish Rice Recipe

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 cups minute rice

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, water, butter, sugar, and salt in large pot.
  2. Bring to boil on medium heat.
  3. Add rice and let boil for approx. 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, cover, and let set for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove lid and stir. Rice should be moist and creamy.
  6. If too dry, add a little more milk and stir over heat.
