Ingredients for Fruit Soup Recipe
- 2 quarts of water
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 lemon peel
- 4 bitter almonds
- 1/2 cup sago
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 pint of fruit juice -cherry, strawberry, currant or blackberry

Instructions
- Put a quart of water in a saucepan. Add cloves, cinnamon, the lemon peel, and almonds.
- Let this steep for one hour, then boil gently ten minutes.
- Strain into half a cup of sago. Add another quart of water and simmer until clear.
- Add sugar, salt, and fruit juice.
- Serve at once.
