Instructions
- Put half a cup of water, a cup of sugar, a cup of seeded raisins, half a cup of chopped nuts, half a cup of tart jelly and a quarter of a cup of sliced citron together in a granite saucepan and cook until thick like preserve.
- Add the juice of half a lemon, take from the stove and cool.
- If still too thin to be firm cook a little longer or stir until thickened.
- Bake the pastry and spread with this mixture.
