Ingredients for Fried Hominy Recipe

  • Leftover breakfast hominy
  • 1 egg
  • Bread crumbs
  • Fat or butter, or dripping in an omelet-pan.
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Instructions

  1. The remains of breakfast hominy should be packed solid in a vegetable dish. When cold, cut in half-inch slices or in cubes.
  2. Dip slices in a beaten egg, roll in bread crumbs, and fry in deep, hot fat or butter. The slices may also be cooked on an omelet-pan.
  3. Drain and serve, sprinkled with sugar or salt.
  4. To be served either as a vegetable or as a dessert.
