Ingredients for Fried Cakes Recipe
- Cream 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons unmelted shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1½ teaspoons grated nutmeg
- 1¾ cups sweet milk
- 1 level teaspoon baking-soda
- 2 level teaspoons cream of tartar
Instructions
- Fry golden brown in deep fat; drain, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
